Edmonds -- Walking tour of Waterfront
Edmonds,ferry,beach,salt water,Puget Sound, Brackett's Landing,seals,marine
Edmonds is one of Washington’s most livable waterfront towns. Located right on the Puget Sound, the community’s downtown is very walkable with an abundance of restaurants and gift stores. Edmonds takes pride in retaining its sense of community, and they have intentionally kept the buildings to just a few stories to protect their community culture.
On each side of the Washington State Ferry terminal are very pleasant waterfront parks. This tour will help you enjoy the waterfront walkways as it guides you through both parks – Brackett’s North and South. The outlook from the shores faces west toward the Olympic Mountain range and north up Admiralty Inlet – the access from the Pacific Ocean to Seattle and the south Puget Sound. Edmonds was settled in 1800's by the George Brackett family.
A casual pace on this tour will take about 30 minutes. If you bring a picnic lunch or a take out from one of the nearby establishments, you can enjoy very pleasant dining on a sunny day.
