This recent review of Yelp says it all about Pharaoh's Treasures at Suite 314 in the Public Market:
"Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to go in, and take a look around, it's like going to a museum of Egypt.
Whenever I wander the market I come down the steps to this store on Level 3. They have a wonderful collection that comes directly from their family in Egypt. A great variety of items to look at from papyrus, hookahs, dance outfits, jewelry, etc. I think their jewelry is wonderful and their quality and prices are incredible.
The staff is great. Always willing to share about their culture and tell you great stories of hanging out with their family in Egypt."
Pharaoh's Treasure is a sponsor of the free tour of the Public Market found at www.yodiotours.com Jillian is the store manager -- give her a big "thank you" for the free tour.

Located below the street level, you'll find Newberry Books in the original street level of the Grand Central Bldg. An a-frame sign usually marks the steps to descend to the "underground". Mark Newberry has been a trusted source for original and antique books for decades.
In the beginning days of Amazon, Mark was a supplier of old and historic books to the fledgling company. You can use your certificate to buy from one of Amazon's original suppliers - Mark Newberry. This one-man shop is found along the path of free tour "Pioneer Square: Historic Tour". We recommend a stop to experience "underground" shopping and meet a nice Seattle guy. Mark Newberry. Stop in, meet Mark, and enjoy the underground ambiance.

Whether it is the ROCOCO beans roasted in the back room, or the coffee drinks served in the front, Rococo is head and shoulders above the other coffee houses in the area. It's the quaint and personal environment that Seattle's biggest chain once was in the early 80's.
Want those same beans for your morning jo at home? Shop online at www.ROCOCOcoffee.com,
Thanks to Rococo for their community spirit to sponsor the free Kirkland Walking tour of downtown.

Just a block from the Ballard Locks, the Sloop Just a block from the Ballard Locks, the Sloop offers a taste of Ballard's local color. The Sloop Tavern offers a long tradition (50 years) as a true tavern experience where you might see some of the fisherman from "The Deadliest Catch" powering down a "sloopersized" beer (33.8 oz.)
