“Dance of the Sun and Moon” is a 16’ tall bronze sculpture donated to the public by the Spokane Valley Arts Council. It is the work of local artist Jerry McKellar (a former dentist.)
The sculpture is based on the Plains Indian legend of the sun and moon that live together, but only meet briefly twice each day when one returns and the other leaves. It is located on Discovery Place in Spokane Valley.
