Olympia - the State Capital

Olympia is the center of the state - the political center. The State Capital campus (tours daily) is a fine stop to connect with the history of this great state. The Olympia Visitor and Convention Bureau office at the edge of the campus can guide you there, but don’t move on until you see what the city of Olympia itself has to offer. An excellent pedestrian-friendly waterfront, a classic downtown with comfortable character, parks, walks, views, and a world-class children’s’ museum await you. From Olympia, western Washington’s most popular visitor attractions spread out to all the compass points, but take some time to enjoy the charm at the end of both Puget Sound and the Oregon Trail.
