Just a short walk from the heart of Lisbon, the fascinating Martim Moniz area is often overlooked by tourists. Martim Moniz is named after a nobleman that lived during the 12th century. The central square in Martim Moniz is the focal point for the multi-cultural side of Lisbon. In this area you’ll hear many languages spoken and you’ll see grocery stores and restaurants featuring food from all over the world. You will often see a DJ playing music in the square and at night there is always a party.
