“One Hundred Gardeners Strong”, the Interbay p-patch is a beautiful garden 30 years in the making. Interbay is part of a network of community gardens throughout Seattle, bound together to steward the land and create spaces for the community to gather. Something to check out would be the “giving garden” which is host to a plot of plants used for food banks and hot meal programs.
The very first farm, Picardo Farm (hence the name “P”-Patch), was created in the early 70’s and since has grown to almost 80 patches located all over the Seattle area. Whether you are renting a plot of soil, or just stopping by for a visit, all are welcome to check out one of the oldest p-patch in Seattle. Visit http://www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/ppatch/locations.htm to find out where all the patches are located.
