Native American Indians originally used the land in this area as a site for a camp during the winter months. In fact, Mukilteo is a local Indian word for "good place for camping."
The 14 acre Mukilteo Lighthouse Park was constructed in the 1950s on a filled tideland and has provided continuous public beach access up to the present. The former Washington State Park was deeded to the City in 2003. This park is also the home of the historical Mukilteo Light Station This century-old Victorian lighthouse station has a 38 foot tall tower that remains in operation today, though automated now.
Hours of Operation:
May 15th - September 30th 4:00 AM to 10:00 PM
All Other Times 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM
Plenty of parking with a flat, paved walkway along the beach. There are six (6) fire pits located along the beach at the park. Please bring your own firewood.
