Riverfront Park,Big Red Wagon,Spokane,sponsor
In Riverfront Park, you will find the world’s largest Radio Flyer!
This big red wagon is a 12 foot high, 27 feet long sculpture made of 26 tons of reinforced concrete and steel with a slide that will delight the child in every person. It’s rumored that the wagon can fit up to 300 people on it. This giant wagon was commissioned by the Junior League of Spokane and was designed and built by the artist Ken Spiering in 1990.
Don’t miss your chance to climb the stairs and snap a picture as you rediscover your inner child on the wagon’s slide. It’s a good spot for a selfie with the giant wagon in the background. The PhotoOps are many. The gigantic red wagon is located in a grassy area of the park near Howard St.
Riverfront Park is open from dawn until dusk, generally, and there is no admission.
