Shontz Schuler Metal Sculpture - Heavy Metal Tour
Ritzville, art, metal, sculpture, library, carnegie, automobile, history, sponsor
This sculpture by Sherryl and Vince Evans pays tribute to Shontz Schuler, Sherryl’s great grandfather, a local contractor who built Ritzville’s Carnegie Library as well as many other fine structures in the Ritzville community.
This is one of 12 life-size metal sculptures that are located throughout Ritzville. The sculptures have historical connection to the city, its forefathers and the agricultural industry that surrounds the city. The project was launched in 2007 by the Ritzville Downtown Development Association in partnership with the City of Ritzville to commission one new metal sculpture each year.
Ritzville’s Heavy Metal Tour features a covered wagon, a cowboy, pioneer woman, horse, photographer, prominent individuals, and even an automobile. For more information about Ritzville, contact the Ritzville Area Chamber of Commerce: 509-659-1936,
