Often called the World’s Longest Beach, Long Beach is easily accessible from several public approaches, this windswept expanse is a favorite for shorebird watching, beachcombing, kite flying and long walks. From Seaview, head south to Beard’s Hollow. From Long Beach or Ocean Park, follow the beach all the way to Leadbetter Point. Seasonally, the beach is popular for razor clam digging, horseback excursions and fishing. At the Bolstad Ave. approach, the beach is the site for the Washington State International Kite Festival (3rd week in August), the Beach to Chowder Run, Doggie Olympic Games, and Sandsations. Countless volunteers participating in quarterly beach cleanups keep the beach looking great for everyone’s enjoyment.
