Photo op. This is probably the most popular viewpoint in Lisbon.
Located at the top of the Elevador da Gloria, this viewpoint is easily accessible and provides an excellent view over the heart of Lisbon and a magnificent view of St. George’s Castle.
The majestic panorama of the city’s landmarks and attractions serves as a supporting cast to the 6th Century Castelo de Sao Jorge and the Igreja de Sao Vicente de Fora of the Renaissance period. From this viewpoint, the Graca Hills and the myriad of religious and commercial landmarks are visible.
Adding a nice compliment to the view is a garden and a garden fountain offering the city’s baroque charm. This is a great place to just sit and relax or enjoy a picnic lunch.
