Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park

The Skokie Northshore Sculpture Park is a wonderful place to get outside, appreciate art, and simply take a stroll through a beautiful park. The sculptures range from spirited, abstract, ugly, and majestic. When the area became an eyesore to the community in the 1980’s the citizens of Skokie decided to turn it into a walking park, and at the same time a group of private citizens proposed they place large-scale sculptures throughout the park. When both groups came together a new sculpture park was made and opened in 1988.
