Lewis Army Museum - indoor and outdoor exhibits

On display at the museum is an outstanding collection of weapons, uniforms, military memorabilia and art associated with Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the U.S. Army. It is housed in the historic former Red Shield Inn, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and can easily be seen from Interstate 5. It is the only certified U.S. Army museum on the West Coast.
Admission is free, but donations are gladly accepted.

The museum also features 2.5 acres of outdoor exhibits which include a UH-1 "Huey" Helicopter, various experimental vehicle prototypes and armored vehicles which saw action in World War II and more recent conflicts.
