Richland Riverfront Trail - north end

The USS Triton Submarine Memorial Park is the north end of the Richland Riverfront Trail which offers 7 miles of scenic paved trail running along the banks of the Columbia River south to the Columbia Point Marina Park (just west of I-82). It’s a surprise to see the sail of a submarine sticking out the gravel on the bluff. Right above the park is the Hanford 300 Area. From the park the trail sweeps down to the river and along the bank. Just below is a handsome overlook shelter. There are great old trees along the way to provide a shady escape from the heat, a few different parks and playgrounds.
