The bottle was completed in 1935 and is a classic example of literalism in advertising.
The Benewah Milk Bottle is a landmark in Spokane, Washington. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, there are two of these constructed milk bottle-shaped buildings in the Spokane area.
Originally they were part of a successful dairy operation's stores. This one is located in the Central Business District, and the other one is located two miles north on South Cedar Street in the Garland Historical District.
